  • Founders barely had to travel to close the deal

A Jersey City startup just gave the ultimate product demo, by handing the keys to its own fundraise over to an AI agent.

Lyzr, a three-year-old company that helps enterprises build AI agents, used its own AI agent to raise a $100 million fundraise, and according to Bloomberg’s reporting, the system did far more than sit on the sidelines. The agent, called SivaClaw, reportedly fielded questions from more than 130 investors, drafted investment memos, and even tracked which slides backers lingered on during pitch meetings.

In other words, the AI agent essentially ran the show. It effectively ran point on the startup’s $100 million Series B, which values Lyzr at roughly $500 million, all while doubling as living proof that Lyzr’s core product actually delivers. It’s the kind of self-referential pitch most founders can only dream of pulling off convincingly.

What stands out most, though, isn’t just that an AI agent helped close a nine-figure round, it’s how little manual work the founders had to put in. Lyzr told Bloomberg it pulled in $400 million in interest from investors across Silicon Valley, the Middle East, and the financial sector without a founder ever needing to fly out for the traditional rounds of coffee meetings and warm intros along Sand Hill Road.

That detail says as much about the current fundraising climate as it does about Lyzr’s technology. With capital chasing AI startups at a pace rarely seen before, companies with real traction are finding they no longer need to leave their desks to raise serious money, their product, apparently, can do the talking for them.

Lyzr’s raise adds to a string of eye-popping AI fundraising stories out this week, following news of Mercor’s talks for a $20 billion valuation.
